It's our most important resource and energy companies don't have a great track record especially in the US where our safety standards tend to look good on the surface but when they are looked into have a lot of oversights. Not the only problem. A gas well just blow up not far from my house. Shook the whole town. It was 6 miles away. I have one that is less that 200 yards away. I tried to tell everyone in my neighborhood that taking the money from the gas company so they can put wells on their land is a bad idea but no one would listen. So now we have to pay for a bunch of damn rednecks who want a quick cash instead of safe water and no bombs in our yards.
