I actually think he's a good actor but always ends up with bad scripts. I mean, I don't think anyone could deliver that line well.

I think he's more of an interesting actor than he is a 'traditionally' good one, but still very talented. His biggest problem in recent years seems to be picking movies that must, to him, sound cool on paper, but don't make the transition with good results.

I've always had a feeling that he altered most of the dialogue for this character; so much of what he says and does is just too irrational. "How in the name of Zeus' butthole" has got Nic Cage written all o'er it.

Nicolas Cage ad-libbed this line. Michael Bay told him not to use it but Cage insisted since he felt that his character would never use profanity and instead use bizarre minced oaths.

Actually it kind of is, Nick Cage is heavily used in Homestuck, even recreating some scenes from Con Air in it, and if you've never heard, there is a Nick Cage tribute song in one of the albums.

In this particular case case I prefer the "creative" spanish dubbing. In the spanish version the character says: "How, in the name of the minotaur's testicles, did you get out of that cell?"

If you've seen faceoff you know that he's a great actor. But the problem as many people say is that he chooses alot of movies, so his average quality of movies become worse.
