Nick waked back into the living room at Kevins house and sat on the floor with little Kevin, he handed the child a sippy cup filled with Apple juice, it was greatly appreciated, it showed in the bright smile and shriek of delight on his tiny face. He then looked around the room, and when he seemed to not find what he was looking for, he looked back at Nick and said mama? Nick shook his head and pulled the curly haired boy onto his lap.

Nick: mommy, and daddy are at the hospital. They will be home soon, k? for now me and uncle Joe and Aunt megan are gnna take care of you alright?
Sadness took over his tiny frame and his little lip quivered as the tears began to fall, and Nick had no idea what to do to comfort him, the boy was so sensitive, and had never been away from his parents for longer then a day, and it had been 3, Nick cradled kevins tiny frame close and rocked him until he cried himself to sleep. No more then 5 minutes had passed when Megan strolled into the room. She looked down at him and smiled.

Megan: you guys ok in here?

Nick: uhh, yeah he just misses them.

Megan: want me to take him for a while? Or are you alright holding him? I can lay him down with me.

Nick: well maybe thats a good idea. Make sure you put pillows at the edges so he doesnt fall off.

Megan: yeah I will. No worries.

Megan bent down and pulled Kevin who had curled himself up and stuck his tiny thumb into his mouth, from Nicks arms, smiled one last time at Nick and then walked out of the room and up the stairs to Mon and Kevins bedroom, where Kevin had told her she could sleep until they came home.




*Mons POV*


3 long days later Mon awoke to the beeping sounds of moniters, along with dead silence, she had no idea what day, or time it was, she thought she was alone, until she turned to her left and seen Kevin sleeping curled in a ball on a chair by the window. She looked through the wndow, and seen the darkness approaching, so she knew it was evening. By habbit she ran her hands up and down her stomache in a protective manner, but was in shock to feel that instead of feeling the swelling bump of the child that grew inside of her, it was completely flat. Immediately she knew that she must have gone into labor and, they must have had the baby in the nursery. Kevin awoke and seen Mon looking at her stomache, he gulped loud enough for her to hear, and she turned her attention towards her husband. She half smiled at him, but felt to weak to speak. She tried to sit up on her own, but proved to have even less strength then she had expected, so Kevin rushed to her side and sat her up, and put a pillow behind her back. He kissed her cheek, and put his hand over hers, but he was taken by surprise when she asked the question he had been dreading for 3 days.

Mon: can I see our daughter?

The silence in the tiny room grew, as Kevin stared at her blankly. He once again gulped, and tried to find the words before he spoke them.

Kevin: well, sweety, she uhh she..her uhh..


Rachel slowly walked to the starbucks that Joseph had asked her to meet him at, she was still extremely angry at him, but the current events with Mon, had forced her to give in, she opened the door and scanned the room for him, she spotted the beautiful boy, that had been such a big part of her life, just 2 years ago, at the back of the room, sipping from his cup. She approached him, and he sat up quickly and went in to hug her, surprising even herself she hugged him back and breathed in the familiar scent of his cologne, without thinking, she leaned her head up to meet his and kissed him with the longing she had built up for so long, he reciprocated and soon, they were back at her apartment, in a tangle of hair, and clothes from the cold December air. To Rachels surprise Joe immediately stopped, and pulled himself off of Rachel, she had not known but it took all the will power in his mind, and body to pull away from her warmth. Joe stood up and replaced his jacket and scarf over his body, looked down at Rachel and sighed.

Joe: Rach I love you. But I cant. im making you do to him, what I did to you. I dont want to do that. Im sorry.

Then he was gone.
