The first hard drive motor I made. This one was put together with some tape, some old wires, and a six volt battery. Didn't hold together very well, but i got some good results while it lasted. the goal was to make it spin, and see what was coming off of it. Not sure about that 2 amp thing. Multimeter is kinda sketchy.

  • @Sdanieln It is just a hard drive with most of the electronics pulled out of it. There are four wires that come from the motor, one is common, and the other three are to the coils. I used tape on the platters to time the motor. the common wire goes to the negative on the battery, the positive wire from the battery is placed at the specific position on the platter and then another wire leads from the case of the motor to one of the coils. just play with one, you'll get it.
