You know one thing I didn't get? Why didn't they amputate his arm? It was pretty much just bone from what they showed of it.

Do you mean "From Hell it Came"? The one with the walking tree monster? I was just a kid (honestly, I was in first grade) back in the early 70's, but I thought it was "From Hell it Came". I was scared of trres for a while after that one.
