That's interesting... did Donahue and Montel swap timeslots at one point? (I also associate Montel at 5pm on WKYC throughout the late 90s...)
Of course, Donahue, Sally Jesse Raphael, Jerry Springer, and Rush Limbaugh's (ill-fated) TV show were all produced by Multimedia, then WKYC's majority owner (NBC still owned a small stake in the station until the 1997 Gannett buyout)... so they all would gain clearance on Channel 3.
This was about to be the beginning of the end for Donahue's television career until his cancellation a couple of years later when the show wasn't renewed.
