Korg MS-2000B - Marcus Emmanuel Barnes
Petrof acoustic piano - Geoff Peters
Drum samples - Marcus and Geoff

Marcus and I tried out a live improvised jam with a Korg analog modelling synthesizer and an acoustic upright piano. We performed along with a metronome, and then added some drum samples later.

  • Very nice interlude, fellas. I like to hear very synthy stuff mixed with very acoustic stuff like you've done here. Recording quality is superb. I see the two mics by the piano. I own a Kawai K5000 and an Akai Sampler among other things, but this is the way I use those two instruments together, kind of like you're doing here. I get the textures from the K5000 and cool "ancient" ethnic instrument samples from my Akai. Hey, THANKS! And keep it up.

  • @brofjw thanks!! great to hear. I think blending acoustic and synth textures opens up a world of possibilities. -Geoff

  • Very nice vid.

    Love the MS2000.

  • @geetar4yerears thank you! And thanks for subscribing too :)

  • Very nice song! Is it a factory patch on the MS2000? I want it to be in my Radias! :)

  • @zuefh thanks! :) I think Marcus tweaked with the envelopes and filters a bit to get that really smooth pad sound. nice thing about the MS2000 is that all the controls are easy to change live :)
