UMBC Women's Basketball vs Monmouth 11-13-11

Three Retrievers posted double-doubles as the UMBC women's basketball team improved to 2-0 with a 68-64 victory over Monmouth (0-1) Sunday afternoon at the Hawks' Multipurpose Activity Center. Senior center Topé Obajolu led all scorers with 20 points and added 10 rebounds for her third career double-double, while senior forward Erin Brown recorded her second in as many games with 18 points and 11 boards. In addition, freshman point guard Lauren Chase finished one rebound shy of a triple-double with 10 points, 11 assists and nine caroms. Brown knocked down four 3-pointers, while Obajolu was 9-for-15 from the field.
