@helikestv Not really; it sounds very LPish. So does Finest Worksong. You'll notice most of the album is only slightly distorted, yet Finest Worksong and The One I Love feature full on distortion. Rics don't do high gain very well; I once set my house alarm off from all the feedback.

@helikestv Peter used a Les Paul and a Marshall for the studio version of the One I Love. His own words from Guitar World, 1996: "I’d gotten a Les Paul and a Marshall amp and I cranked it up to 11." I actually have a video of me talking about Peter's use of the LP.
