Two batches of wine, six gallons each fermenting in the closet under our stairs.

Complete steps of making wine easy and cheap will posted in a series of videos.

These two batches are a Cabernet Merlot blend and a Pinot Grigio.

These wines are made from wine kits.

  • about the "good" smell: Do you need an out-of-the-way place like a storage closet or do you think a spare bedroom might saturate the room? making it hard to remove when you're done?

  • @dcholmes1969 We had ours in a closet under the stairs and after we were done the small dissipated fairly quickly.

  • nice work! i make beer but have not tried wine, what do you usually pay for a good kit?

  • About $50.00. Sometimes as much as $65.00.

  • Forgot to mention that a kit makes 6 gallons and that works out to about 29 750ml bottles of wine.

  • I love that fruity smell, with a tad bit of yeast.

How many gallons in the primaries? Five?

  • 6 gallons
