Helen's follow up to 'Tell Me What He Said' in the summer of 1962 was Let's Talk About Love. This was the B side of that single.

  • nº1 in SouthAfrica-SuidAfrika 62

  • @vertxxgg Thank you for that information. Helen's chart career in the UK was nearly over by the time this recording was released. It's all the more remarkable that she got to number one in South Africa with a UK B side, and you may agree with me that this 'Sometime Yesterday' is a better track than the A side, 'Let's Talk About Love'.

  • wonderful.

  • The title song in this video "Sometime Yesterday" is my very favorite song by Helen Shapiro. She looks so beautiful in this video. Helen Shapiro is not only blessed with a great voice but she has a great singing style. I am an American who truly admires this multitalented individual. I can truly understand why the British audience loves her so because this American loves her very much too. Respectfully: Henry W. Pope

  • I could not remember the title; but as soon as the music started, wonderful old thoughts came back - thanks for the chance to relive this track

  • You never know if the right people could connect; Helen could take off like a jet on the oldies radio networks!

  • @bosatsu76 YES! That was helens problem she needed better prudecers, and promoters to get her better songs and she would have been a bigger hit all through the 60's. Love You Helen... Sir David

  • "Sometime Yesterday" Lovely tune, Beautiful lyrics, by an amazing beautiful singer. Ah.... teenage love, locked in the pages of our memories, that take some of us, way way back, where our hearts ... never forget our first love.

  • forget Winehouse Helen Shapiro was brilliant & continues to be so..the 27 club is for deadbeats...

  • I must be honest.. I have never heard of this woman. And here it is 2011. What a voice! Imagine what she would have become with some excellent song writers, producers and promoters in her corner... What a shame. One can only hope for reincarnation to be true... Let's see her again.

  • This kind of voice only comes 'once in a century'

  • @henrywpope1 american are deprived of lots of things control by the media euro music arrived in south africa australian south america .. and vice -versa..and today ....europe as turn america disco in to a new music. the world is not america ..long live helen shapiro.

  • I never heard of her...got here via a Gene Vincent clip. For such a young looking woman she has a very mature voice.

  • It was the groups i.e.The Beatles that became popular that made

it hard for helen and many other solo singers to continue with their success(except Cliff Richard who was always successful)
