Geniuses: Joy Electric

Album: Melody

This is the closing track to Joy Electric's first LP, Melody. The album was supposed to be produced under the name Dance House Children and was titled "Beautiful Dazzling Music No. 2"
As fate would have it, Joy Electric became the main focus.

  • I think I saw them advertised on Facebook, and just now recommended on a Kraftwerk video (and the FB add also said "Like Kraftwerk? You'll love Joy Electric" or "...You'll love this artist". I decided to give them a listen. Not bad, it's interesting.

  • Melody - still my favourite JE album of all-time.

  • This song is perpetually stuck in my head.

    "In love with me,

    Here forever.

    King and Country

    Live forever."

    Thanks for uploading. : )

  • love it....

  • Yea, it is the best. I am definately behind you on that one. Yea the last album I bought from JE was The Tick Tock Treasury when he played a show promoting it. I haven't purchased any other album beyond that.

hehe I've been meaning to remove that as I actually meant Five Stars For Failure.

    Thanks for the reminder.

  • Best JE recording ever in my opinion, every time I see them in music stores (mostly the used section) I buy them. ha ha!

But I think Old Wives Tales was release right before Robot Rock a few months after We Are the Music Makers.

  • Yeah, I've heard OF it... Never heard it's music though. It has a yellow-ish cover right? and a lady with a spinning-wheel I do believe....
