  • The quicker you can make the rolling motion in your hips, the less likely your are to bog down and weight your paddle sweep and sink your head into the water. It's mostly in the quickness of the hipsnaps.

  • @mono3474 So there's a couple of things you can have and do to do a dry head back deck rodeo roll.

    1. Have a small playboat

    2. Have a buoyant paddle e.g AT2, Werner Shogun etc.

You don't need to have these things but it helps.

    Try with your technique:

    1. Have the paddle shaft at chest height (Just above the nipples) though out the roll.

    2. Engage your abs/core muscle as you initial the roll. Think about bring your knees to your chest.

Note - Wear a helmet, you might hit your head

  • Now there's some viewing going here. How many can he do in a row? Nice Scott.

  • sorry to be picky.still had your chin in the warter.

  • it is effortless. just takes a paddler like todd to show it isnt a move you have to do extremely quick and all muscled out.

  • I have a wave sport...... nice

  • this guy is good!
