Rupert Sheldrake, one of the worlds most innovative biologists, is best known for his theory of morphic fields and morphic resonance, which leads to a vision of a living, developing universe with its own inherent memory. He first worked in developmental biology at Cambridge University, and is currently Director of the Perrott-Warrick project.

Visionary Shamanism - a feature documentary

Tentatively begun in the Summer of 2005, the "Visionary Shamanism" film project has steadily evolved in scope, depth, and the participation of interested persons and institutions. Currently, the project is documenting the lives of five healers -- women and men -- practicing in the Northern Peruvian curandero tradition. As living heirs to the beauty, power, and wisdom of this work their presence on-screen is a testament to the human story of healing and their animated relationship with the sacred in life and nature.

The full participation of the world's leading scholars of this tradition has further opened a contextual space to situate these stories for the viewer. We have been granted unprecedented access to archives of film and photography dating back to the late 19th century along with massive collections of undisplayed artifacts that depict healing in the pre-Columbian cultures that are the root of modern practice. In the course of gathering material for specific inclusion in the film, we are compiling an archive of the entirety of this additional material -- including the full transcriptions of our interviews -- to make available to scholars and researchers in various formats. Our vision for the final result includes the primary documentary film, along with a secondary film of educational material, a DVD archive of material, and a possible full-color book for publication. Thank you Rupert Sheldrake and HeartoftheHealer for this marvellous, informative, rational view of Shamanism for those wishing to know more. As Humanity moves ever further on it's path of Wisdom and Becoming (albeit apparently so slowly!), these perspectives need re-presenting, as many of us have become detached from this Reality. The ancient truths always resound and this video is a measure of truth in self-evident form.

Sheldrake does not understand what science is. Science is not only knowledge, but a rational thinking process. Sheldrake simply blindly accepts something, and then attempts to bend an experiment's results in such a way that it conforms to his blindly accepted theory.

Shamanism is about a realm or domain of Consciousness or 'Spirit'. This realm has become taboo in the Western world because the Western world has come to believe that the world is mechanistic. Many believe that a mechanistic worldview is the same as a scientific worldview. But that is really a misunderstanding.

I think this scientist would be more than interested to see my first uploaded video "Witness a miracle.". I swear the footage is absolutely genuine. It is best seen full screen and the key moment to pay attention would be as soon as the film comes into focus. I have personal evidence which may support his theories. If it hadn't had this first had evidence I may doubt it my self, but I swear on all that is good and innocent in this world that it is true. This is only one small example of many.

So is shamanism the ancestor of institutionalized religion? I think so, and shamanic practice is possibly an unspoken institution going back 15,000 years ago or maybe much farther back in time. I like Rupert!
