This 1969 Gamble & Huff penned classic displays the inimitable vocals of Fayette Pinkney, Sheila Ferguson and Valerie Holiday, each with their own style (Fayette's incredible soaring range, Sheila's passion and the fiery soul that is Valerie), coming together to create a unique sound which was the signature of the Three Degrees and led to their success at Philadelphia International Records.

  • Great song! Love Valerie's style on here:)

  • Thanks for the upload and great photos!

  • @quietemps re: Rotary Connection - could be Minnie on them there backing vocals!

  • @quieterrps Good call! That was the one alright! Take care! ;- }

  • @quieterrps You mean 1:02 don't you?

  • Nice to hear this, which sounds oddly like a cross between Rotary Connection and the tail end of Diana Ross & The Supremes (career!).

    Lot of great pictures there ~ especially at 1:00 in. Thanks for posting!

  • Dialectrix sampled this for Outcast.

  • great

  • i need this song where can i find it

  • Thank You, Thank You ! ! !

    I honestly thought I was the only person on planet Earth that remembers and absolutely love this song. I ONLY HEARD IT ONCE ON RADIO WHEN IT WAS RELEASED, AN OWNED A COPY THAT SAME DAY. This song to me define the very essence of who and what wonders these three ladies ARE! I so wanted everyone to hear how beautifully "FAY PINKNEY" controls her vocal range and just sky-above all other group genera’s. Motown-just missed out!

    All my best superlatives to you, Psimberg.
