@kankakaratestyle this has nothing to do with amazon but instead bad customer service.
i once spent weeks trying to get the codes for some dlc i had purchased at gamestop (you suck!) (the reciept got ruined) and in the end they said quote "There's nothing we can do since you wrote on them" (i tried to patch them) I TOLD THEM A MILLION TIMES I HAD WRITTEN ON THEM EVIDENTLY THEY CAN'T HEAR! (this was xbox live customer service) the service was good... they just suck at understanding.
ugh.

So many levels of not that simple: Even if it was a glitch and they're corrected it, all the effected books have now suffered immeasurable sales loss as a result. As an author, I constantly stalk my sales rank, because that determines where I appear in an Amazon search. Books stripped of their search functionality naturally have sold fewer copies (potentially since Feb), and therefore even when the problem is corrected, will have a low search rank and thus cont. to sell less.
