Now that I'm done with drum corps I have a hell of a lot of time in the summer, and yes, maybe I could have spent the 20 minutes studying or doing something productive, but that's no fun. Let's be honest here: There is very little actual music in drum corps. What we respond to is precision, intonation, and change in quality of sound (perceived to be 'emotion' and/or 'volume'). An actually well-played and musical melodic line is a rarity in our activity -- because it's very, very hard to get 100+ people to do that. To say that Tom doesn't know how to appreciate music is completely wrong -- he is a great musician. He just doesn't appreciate PR's approach to effect. Simply that.

Thumbs down for the title but I will admit I got a kick when the atomic bomb blew up with the Canon hit. Phantom's rendition of Canon has and always will be one of my all time favorite Drum Corps moments.

@hathatsfuny '08 is neither the best show that DCI or even PR has ever seen. PR is not the best in anything they do now, especially with Rennick gone (there goes their Fred Sanford trophies). And it's SUTA, not SUDA. Don't use it if you can't even spell it and don't know what it stands for. There's nothing more annoying than a bando yelling SUTA, splooie, etc....terms only actual corps members will ever understand.

The fact that they dropped to 9th after the most amazing show DCI has ever seen in 2008, is laughable. Everyone knows that PR is the best. Their hornline can make more sounds on their instruments than any other corps. Do you know how hard it is to have 80 completely different sounds happening at one time?! SUDA!!!
