  • Oh, give me a break. All the RCCL ships from the freedom on look the same. The only difference is some are bigger. Wow. Carnival is fun. To say they are all alike is absurd. Each has it's own feel and theme and the public rooms are dramatically different. Personally, I like the fun, flashy, inventive interiors and I enjoy the idea that it's all about having a good time. If I wanted to stay in a hotel I'd book a room in one. if I wanted to climb a rock wall or skate, ala RCCL, I'd stay at home.

  • I went on the freedom this past July 18th and i have to say that this cruise director john is the most hilarios person i have ever known

  • As am I..though I figured I was not dealing with just another passenger.

In closing Carnival's approach has been a huge success financially for the arena for which they wish to play which is a quantity company. But given all their resources globally to consistently give the public the same sort of ship time after time in all their divisions has for me made them extremely unattractive. I just wish someone like your dad would say "is this the best we can do"?

I see a company painfully lacking

  • well the reason i know is because my father is very high up in carnival cruise lines so i follow it closely and have been on nearly every ship on the fleet(still not Freedom or Splendor) anyway im tired of replying on this so lets just agree to disagree lol all cruise lines are great and they provide me with the best vacation ever!

  • Carnival should be impressed..not many "passengers" would be so loyal online..nor know when the company was formed! But you have proven my point, to you and Carnival "bigger is better". And why not share that philosphy w/all the other brands as well w/in the group. That approach has made other companies like Celebrity, Disney, RCL and NCL more attractive because they are not more of the same! Disney has recieved accolades for their ships, more than the "Dream" ever will for certain.

  • well i do not think they are by any means diminished considering they are still by far the biggest cruise line in the world and unfortunately i dont think disney cruise line will ever be in the same league as Carnival Corp. disney probably should have just stuck to theme parks and also disney copying carnival, well truthfully disney has copied carnival considering carnival was formed in 1972 and disney cruises in 1998 and carnival entrepenued the more kid themed cruising

  • As a loyal Carnival customer I can see why you'd not like Disney. I liked it for the quality of my surroundings and the service. In many ways I was just grateful it wasn't another Vista clone designed by Mr. Farcus! You have a point, why tamper with what works. On the other hand using that philosphy throughout the brands has diminshed them. What makes these lines a premium company when it is the same ships, designers, cabins and food? the PR reps! that's it. Carnival is coping Disney now!

  • the disney cruise i went on sucked horribly there was nothing to do it might have been fun if i was 9 years old and also about the quantity not quality if you were making billions of dollars a year off the process you were using would you change it? no i dont think so
