That play occured in the early minutes of game 1 of the 1987 Eastern Conference Semifinals between the Boston Celtics and the Milwaukee Bucks.

  • @williwo P.S.- I didn't have enough room but....the best passers are first Bird, then Magic, then Pistol Pete. The reasons are as I said Pistol was a very flashy player but he was almost like a Harlem Globe Trotter. He did a lot of neat little tricks but they were just tricks and unnecessary. Look at Bird here for instance...Sikma was standing right in front of him with his legs wide open....it made sense for Bird to pass under his legs. Anyway, all three of the players you mentioned were great.

  • @williwo I disagree Pistols Pete made some amazing passes but you look at the timing of them and the situation of a lot of them and it just seemed like a lot of flash. Like Pete would make a twenty foot bounce pass under his legs to a wide open guy. Is that flashy and fun to watch,HELL YEA, but not necessary. Magics passes were flashier than Bird's but more practical than Pete's. Bird had amazing passes but if you look at them... they are all very necessary. He did tight passes in heavy traffic.

  • Its almost too bad Sikma will only be remembered for this. His post game in his prime was worth watching. I guess if you're gonna get owned, you might as well get owned by one of the best.

  • lol, Jack Sikma, slowest big man ever. remember when he had a perm? What a douche.

  • @Mevs2012 Well considering that Detroit won 2 Championships and La won 5, I disagree

  • The best part about this video is how Heinsohn was about to tell us how great the Bucks' unit of the floor was probably their best.

  • "BIRDD WITH THE PASS THROUGH THE LEGS OF SIKMA." Classic.

  • @williwo Agree with Walt and also Oscar statements...I will say that I believe Oscar was good for his time but the 60's(unlike the late 70's and 80's) are so sketchy in terms how well the best players would do in later...at 6'5'' Oscar prob wouldn't get double digit rebounds...Bird =Oscar of the 80's He would've been a SG in the 80's as a scorer first I think. Bird and Oscar are in my top 4 all time....MJ,Wilt,Oscar, Bird,Kareem, Magic in that order for me. MJ's playoffs stats and D were crazy

  • @usnate1 I want to add one more comment and state that I think Walt Frazier is the greatest defensive PG ever.

  • @usnate1 Now in terms of stats and overall production.....then I would say Oscar Robertson is the best PG ever. He wasnt the flashy passer that Pistol and Magic were.....but he was the king of Triple-Doubles. No point guard had better overall stats than the Big O. But when it comes to passing, Pistol is the greatest ever....followed by Magic
