Trying out my new Looxcie LX2 while taking out the trash. Video quality is mediocre at best, which is expected, but wearability is unforgivably difficult and unreliable.
The earbud-earloop wear method is needlessly complicated and rather flimsy, even after trying all possible combinations of buds and loops. As you can see, the camera sits at an awkward angle and needs endless adjusting in tandem with the companion apps to be properly straightened, and even when I thought it was sitting straight, just certain ways of moving my head showed it was actually pointing a bit too far upwards.
I fully understand that the video quality will be poor for the size of the unit, but for what I paid, I at least expected better-engineered wearability that does not need endless tweakage, part-swapping, and practice to get a decent video out of the box. I'll keep the thing, but not with full satisfaction.
