  • I tried to send you a link to my video but it's not letting me. Just look up trex600heliguy and it's the only stryker one up there. Look at the barrel roll at full throttle.

  • @trex600heliguy I have seen the video, i does roll a bit try to correct it as i told you you should be fine. have you ever try a wing as in the ritewing ?? frame is a lot less draggy and men with the setup you have it would be fat as hell ...look at my other video you'll see mine ...the weather wasnt that good but lot of wind but still pretty fast ..

  • I just built a Stryker with the following setup: 6s 2600 mAh Spyder battery ARC 28-47-2 motor 5A BEC 6 X 4 prop Hi-tech 85mg servos Solid turnbuckle pushrods Custom ailerons My machine wants to barrel roll to the right at full throttle. Any suggestions / recommendations? Thanks!!
  • @trex600heliguy , that seem like a nice setup ...pretty fast ...the thing is that the prop spin so fast and have so much power compared to the length of the wing that it will roll on it self, you could try to do a mixing in your radio to correct it ...it will help for sure.

  • So for this vid you are running two 3s lipos? In what configuration? I'm trying to learn, thanks.

  • Yes it is 2 x 3s 2200mah put in series it give you 6s 2200mah, if you do parallele instead you keep the 3s but double the mah so 4400mah in this setup you will get a longer flight time but not the performance as the motor dosn't spin enough.

  • @TrevJonez As much power as you're running you want at very least that carbon tube across the wing to stiffen it. I'm aiming for 120 out of mine and have fiberglassed the motor mount area, have a 5mm OD (not overkill, just thorough) CF tube spanning across the wing area and have it just behind the launch handles, plus wrapped the whole airframe in 3M Extreme tape. It weighs about twice what the standard airframe does but is plenty stiff and will easily hold up to 120+ speeds.

Thanks for the reply. I am going to add a 4 degree right thrust to the setup to see if that helps before I add any mixing. The custom motor mount that I am ordering has a 4 degree angle in it so maybe that's what I need to do!! Here is my link to see what I am talking about

  • Holy shit! Is that thing fast. Great Sound!!

  • i set my stryker up with a 6x4 prop on a 3700kv motor on 3s the maiden lasted less than 40 sec. i through it went around the back stop while trimming then came for a high speed pass and the wing broke off. bench test showed 870 watts peak estimated max speed of about 120.

just started the new one today. this time im adding a carbon spar and maybe fiberglass on the LE.

did you brace your airframe at all?

  • Nice flying, I have the HXT 2835 3900kv inrunner ready for my F 27 Stryker. What prop do you suggest. I have 6*4 and 5*5 props. I know the kv is high. I also have a 50A ESC. Any suggestions would be appreciated
