I love how you've used recycled materials to create something that produces energy for free. Good for you. :)

I dont understand the enghish acent,, i m from argentina..
can u write please what kind of Glass u used,, and how many mm??

@Juani2392 The glass is a non-tempered glass. If it is tempered and you try to cut it, it will break into a million pieces. I have 18 solar cells in this panel and the panel is 20 in x 21 in which is 508 mm x 533.4 mm. I am not sure about the mm part. That is the answer that google came up with. Thanks for the question, Lonny

hmm, nice one. I live in the tropics. So I don't think it really hails here. Thanks for your answer. I wonder how much hail your system can take? Do the cells die if they get wet?
Thanks

@vincentvandervaere Hello, I am not sure how much hail the glass could take. But on the topic of cells getting wet, in the tropics you will want to protect the cells with a vapor barrier. I tried a bunch of different thing in my video " How to build a solar panel part 6". Maybe one of the ideas will be something that will work for you. Thanks for the question, Lonny

what happens when it hails?

@vincentvandervaere Hello, these are easy to take apart if the top glass gets broken. You would just have to cut a new panel of glass and put it on. Thanks for the question, Lonny
