10th Anniversary of Guggenheim Museum Bilbao

Bilbao celebrated the 10th anniversary of the opening of Bilbao's Guggenheim museum Friday night. Fireworks, light and sound exhibition, inaugurated the work of Duren in La Salve bridge.
In ten years time, the Guggenheim, took Bilbao out of a difficult moment, having more than ten million visitors, putting the Basque country in a better place.

Bilbao celebra el 10 º aniversario de la apertura de Bilbao el Museo Guggenheim de viernes por la noche. Fuegos artificiales, luz y sonido exposición, inaugurada la obra de Duren en el puente de La Salve.
En diez años, el Guggenheim, Bilbao tomó de un momento difícil, tras más de diez millones de visitantes, poniendo el País Vasco en un lugar mejor.

Il museo Guggenheim a Bilbao con "Vídeo en las Colecciones Guggenheim" sarà specialmente interessante per te come maestro del video. Anni fa ho visto Solomon R. Guggenheim a Manhattan. Anche da voi a Venezia avete la Peggy Guggenheim. E' comprensivo che Bilbao sarà orgoglioso. Non per niente è scritto nella introduzione in castellano: "poniendo el País Vasco en un lugar mejor".

I've never liked fireworks...too noisy ...too smelly, however, I must admit this is a great show. It must have been really interesting for the technicians to put it up. I am always almost been moved to tears when the people clap at the end! there is a kind of community feeling,not religious, but you know that the people there DID concentrate on some kind of beauty in the place, at the same time, lost in the same concentration, much more than in church, to me!
