Why be concerned with suicide out of belief in a deity, when this deity is the greatest killer of all ? Ask your creator god, why he creates life, let it be loved to cut it down before birth ? !4,500,000 stillbirths a year worldwide) Does he value life ? I am afraid not !!

Life on Earth has a purpose. To those who have no knowledge of god or that purpose - life is seemingly the ultimate good. However for Catholics we know that goodness itself is the ultimate good. Life is a "secondary good".

God kills everyone, because he determines that we will live on earth and for how long. Your view of God is too small and quite pathetically chidlish.

If you know your god so well as you portray yourself, you must have an explanation. The answer that " he kills at will," is no answer. In that case he is worse than any tyrant on earth.

Your entire premise is based on the idiotic notion of denying that god who is the author of life, has any authority over the life he created, or any authority to determine what the purpose of that life is. @mfisher131 This is catholic news, not secular news. Oregon's laws on suicide AND the suicide kits are wrong, they are linked, they are both evil and they should be see as one being born from the other.

I am concerned with your depiction of Oregon "back pedaling" on suicide. This suggests that online sales of suicide kits to anyone with a credit card is akin to the highly regulated and lengthy process of physician assisted suicide. Failure to familiarize yourself with the actual law destroys credibility, even if one agrees with the moral objection to either. Please don't do yourself the discredit of not doing the homework before doing the story.
