Qantas Open Mic Competition (Still Call Australia Home)

Australia is the land of Heart but New Zealand is the land of my Birth.

I have been living in NZ for the past 5 years and in light of the recent tragic earthquakes here it seems like such a betrayal for me to sing this song like i am abandoning the land of my birth which needs my support and love right now.

However, both countries have been ravaged with catastrophes this year. Australia with its floods and NZ its earthquakes. My message is this:

"With our spirit, We'll overcome
These times of heartache and damage done
Joining hand in hand
For a cause so grand
Rebuilding shattered lives
Till once again these countries thrive"
