You'd have to root the device and load it through secondary means.

question, does the amazon appstore have tablet apps or standard 2.3 apps?

The apps are all Gingerbread compatible, like the tablet itself.

You have to turn it on in settings because it automatically defaults if off.

Did they remove the flash player support with the update? I cant seem to watch flash movies and sites that utilize flash dont load?

Nice update ;-) nothing special but for me the current kindle Fire is working great. waiting for some decent ICS builds.
