Well, TickerGuy has now moved the development of CyanogenMod 7 (CM7) for the Motorola Triumph to the BETA stages. This is his first Beta release, B0.1. I've been using it for a little over a day now, and it's been great. 3G Data seems faster and I haven't experienced any drops yet.

As always, thanks to TickerGuy, Isaac and everyone else contributing to the Motorola Triumph's development, whether it be towards CM7, MIUI or anything else!

Can you flash CM7 like you would any other ROM? Anything that isn't working in this release? And are there any more current releases?

@13jpgbass Yeah, pretty much the same as any other ROM. Go to my channel and search for BETA 8, which is actually the final CM7 release, at least by Tickerguy. The only thing that doesn't work is the HDMI output. Thanks for watching and don't forget to subscribe!

Hi I am a newbie to rooting. Thanks for uploading this very informational video. I have never heard of or done this before but I want to get a new phone, my first android/smartphone btw and I wanted to learn to do this so I could get hotspot working. From my understanding, I need to root the Triumph first with Gingerbreak then install Clockworkmod Recovery BEFORE flashing Cyanogenmod 7? Do you know by any chance if the problems you mentioned persist in the beta 8 release of cm 7? Thanks!

@xkimicodragonx You don't need to root, this process will do that for you. The only issue is that the HDMI output won't work with the latest version of this ROM (Make sure you go to my channel and find the installation video for BETA 8!)

@omegaplatypus Seems like it just refuses to wake up or something...I never use WiFi or Bluetooth.

@minus5252 Thanks so much for your help! I have CM7 on my Triumph and it's working great so far. Just a question, though, what DOES happen if you turn on WiFi and Bluetooth at the same time? I never use Bluetooth, but I'm still really curious.
