And today there are 560,000 Spanish speakers in Miami who can not speak English
and is getting outrageously worse the more that come who "refuse" to learn English! So, why do Spanish speakers come to the U.S. to live, knowing that the language of our Constitution is English? It was the Miami radical Cuban exiles like Manny Diaz,
now Miami's Mayor, U.S.Rep.Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, Rep.Lincoln Diaz-Balart, Mario Diad-Balart, ex-Miami Mayor Maurice Ferre,Ex-Hialeah Mayor Raul Martinez & Miami-Dade County Commissioners who repealed "CITIZENS OF DADE UNITED's Anti-Bilingual Ordinance in 1993 and the arrogant County Commissioners repealed our
"official English Ordinance" after it was in effect for 13 years and immediately after repealing our ordinance, voted for an
ordinance calling fir the use of Spanish language in Miami-Dade County's government just to pander to primarily Miami's Spanish speaking Cuban exiles who many came 45 years ago and still have refused to learn English. The County Commissioners voted to repeal our English ordinance against the wishes of the 60 percent who passed the law in 1980, who don't give a damn about the votes of the 60 percent of Miami-Dade County's voters. This was an outrageous
arrogant and selfish act by all the commissioners who voted to repeal it.

The Miami-Dade County Commissioners who are a super-majority of Cuban exiles took 5 hours and 40 minutes in argumnents to finally kill our English ordinance! CITIZENS OF DADE UNITED has a video of the entire 5 hours and 40 minutes of the repeal
process and we will be posting all the hot key arguments made against the repeal.

  • Miami Cuban refugees keep telling us U.S. born citizens that Spain owned Miami 415 years ago! Telling us that is a misnomer since Spain gave up control of the U.S. years ago. Who are you to demand that Americans "must learn Spsnish and must be bilingual"? In Miami, Bilingual means speaking Spanish but Spanish speakers only speak a few words of English! So your "retrograde" remark is totally false and Miami bilingual Spanish speakers are the retrograde ones only speaking a few English words

  • Wrong. English is the language of our U.S. Constitution! Nothing in our Constitution

mandates that U.S. citizens learn more that English. English is the chosen language of Science, Medicine, Technology,Investions, Business Transactions, The key language mandated for use by Air Traffic Control Towers around the world! But I guess you want Spanish to be the key languge in the U.S.

instead of the English lnguage because Spain owned parts of the U.S.160 years ago and you

    want it conquered?

  • @dayron25 De acuerdo. Ahora ya esta arreglada la cosa!

  • @ursa41 I know how to behave in countries where I set foot unlike some people, I do not talk politics (unless someone wants to have an INTELLIGENT conversations NOT blowouts) and I keep an open-mind, and I remember that I'm in THEIR country. And yes, I'm a Latino, pero yo no dejo que me ciegue la passion, I also consider myself a multicultural person, and I analyze things differently. you call me whatever you want, I know who I am... vale tio?

  • @dayron25 "Us gringos"--man, you sound like what we call an "Imitation Latino". Going to Spain? Better not talk like that, you won't be appreciated. Yeah, I'm wasting my time talking to you as well. Estas jodido, de verdad. Lo siento muchissimo por ti. Never met a Latino like you before in my entire life that talked like that...that's sad, bro! Hasta nunca, cono!

  • @ursa41 you don't even consider yourself an american so why should I even bother arguing?? my advice, if you're happier in Spain, then para Espana mi hermano! vete pero ya! si no resistes este pais, pues vete a sumbar a otro lado. I have nothing against Spain, I'll be going there soon as a matter of fact, but I ain't ganna sit here and let you just talk shit about us "gringos" you're no better than people here in Miami. good day.

  • I have dual citizenship; every summer I go there, I visit the Ministry of Labor and drop off resumes. The day I get called and someone in my family pulls strings, my ass is outta' here believe me!! My wife , Belizean-born,loves Spain and has many friends there as well and boy does she hate Yanquis because they're a bunch of fuckin' hypocrites. I got five years to retire in the meantime then we're out of this fuckin' fascist pigpen if I don't get lucky beforehand. That answer your question?

  • @dayron25 Maybe so, but the entire world has one thought in common: the U.S. is a mayor fuckin' exploiter of every goddamn in the world so don't even go there!!! Catalans, Basques and we Gallegos may have our own issues, but when it comes to facing up against this country, they'd unite. BELIEVE ME, I FUCKIN' KNOW CAUSE I'VE SPOKEN WITH FRIENDS FROM THERE TOO...SO DON'T EVEN GO THERE, ALRIGHT???

  • @ursa41 and why are you here then if you hate the USA so much? why?? why not live in Spain??

  • @ursa41 lets not talk about Spain because Spain has its own cultural identity problem...please! Catalans want independence, Basque want independence, Galecians don't consider themselves Espanhois and they resent Espanholistas, and not to mention that they are all a bunch of hipocrits since they call ALL South Americans "sudacas" as an insult and see them as lower then dirt. Spain has their own shit to fix first before they can give us cultural advice.

  • @dayron25 I respect your point of view, but the fact remains that, even though I was born here to Spanish immigrants, I never once felt 'American". I travel to Spain every year to visit family and friends, no one suspects I'm "American" ( rarely do as my Spanish does not betray an accent unlike Gringos who can't speak for shit). Most of everybody there believes America has NO culture, and is ignorant; they say if it did, they wouldn't be so culturally-insensitive now, would they??

  • @ursa41 well mijo thats because you went as a tourist, which is the best way to experience Miami, but for someone who has spent 21 years in Dade County, its not as nice as tv presents it mijo, don't be fooled.
