For Cheri Lynn because she wanted me to make a video of how I package my orders?? It really depends on what it is.. and all of them are kinda different... but this kinda shows what I do. Enjoy the boredom.

  • This packaging is so cute, I want to do stuff like this to package my items but I haven't really had enough ordered yet to spend money on little things to make it look pretty & when I do put effort into the packaging the buyer doesn't seem to even notice or care. :/ How have you made it so your phone alerts you to orders?

  • @EternallyEmma I agree, buyers don't care about packaging and the extra lil things you give them. They just expect to get what they paid for, quickly & safe. If i get more orders, the pretty packaging will be cut down, due to time. I don't have many listings nor orders, so I have the time to pay more attention to orders. I didn't spend much on the packaging either, it's stuff I won't use. I have an account only for etsy, so the only e-mails received are just orders linked to my phone. TFW =)

  • @TatteredAddiction I hardly ever even get left feedback & if I do people never mention the packaging. :/ I usually just put my items in ziplock bags with a coloured piece of card at the back with a written thankyou & my etsy address. I liked the stamps on your jiffy bag though, I may get a stamp or 2 to do that as it's simple, quick but makes it look a whole lot nicer so thanks for that idea. I just tried to get my hotmail to do that but it says they'll cost 12p a text so nvm. :/ Thanks though!

  • @EternallyEmma What kind of phone do you have? Mine's the iPhone4, AT&T w/ unlimited data. I set up my hotmail from the cell to notify me of messages/orders. I don't set it up through hotmail itself. As far as packaging, buy some clear resealable bags to put your items in (as shown in video w/ the cameos), make a simple font & symbol that you like for your shop's name, print it on cardstock w/ a thank you on the back, cut it, fold & staple it to the top of the bag. Easy and presentable =)

  • @TatteredAddiction My phone is a really old vodafone one that can't even go on the internet. I love it though so I'll just have to wait to go online to check for orders instead of having them sent to my phone,a ah well. I did that before which made it look a lot better but like I said, I hardly ever even get feedback & when I do it's 'cause I've had to message them asking if they got their item okay, most of them don't even reply then. I never heard from the people I did that for. :/

  • @EternallyEmma It's a hassle to go back & forth on the computer to check to see if you have any orders. I didn't get a buyer for 2 months! LOL! Now, it's so-so, because I don't have many listings at all, out of the 100's of stuff I need to get up.

Most don't care what the packaging looks like. As long as they get what they paid for in great condition. Feedback is something you do have to ask for sadly. I still have that problem. don't be discouraged though. Some just don't know how.

  • I'm hoping to be selling on Etsy soon, mainly polymer clay charms :) And I have a few questions, Where can I get the colored envelopes? How long did it take you to sell an item on your first time? I'm 15, so it gets pretty confusing on how things work. So, I need a lot to learn :) Thanks! And lovely packaging!

  • @luvfashionandmakeup I am sorry, my phone didn't post the response to this yesterday. No, the decorations do not fall off at all. I had a customer take a picture of the package she received from me and everything was attached like it was when I put it in the bubble mailer. I never had an issue cause I always think about the possibility of it happening, so I make sure there is no way it could happen. I hope this helps you. If you have any other ?'s ask away! TFW!!!

  • @2909ism My phone notifies me of when I have an order. I'm a night owl and that's when I usually have my orders. LOL. I don't know why it always happens in the middle of the night, but I package them to be sent out the same day in the morning. i should also let you know that I don't have a lot of sale volume that I can not keep up with. I just simply pack an order, print the shipping label, then 'mark shipped' on etsy. So i know it's done and move on to the next. I hope that helps you.

  • Please respond: does the flower and decorations fall off while its being delivered??
