Rangers arent pre-sf either. They are just light infantry that is deployable faster than brigades and battalions. They do infantry work and may join SF teams if needed like a fire squad.

As far as most dangerous job goes, I'd say 11X[11b/11c] rank a close second to 19D Cavalry Scout. Seeings as before infantry even sets foot into battle they get in and scope the fields out. They are the first to take fire and casualties, while the enemy is fresh and ready to fight.

In 2010 though I'm enlisting as 11x so they can put me where they need me, Hopefully though they put me in 11b.
