Recorded live at The Agora Ballroom in Cleveland, Ohio on July 7, 1975. This was the song that I heard when on vacation at the beach that got me hooked on Kansas. Excellent solos throughout. This song is from the SONG FOR AMERICA album.
Is that a violin bow in Kerry Livgrens hand at the three minute mark?
Robby Steinhardt - Lead Vocals, Violin
Steve Walsh - Organ, Piano, Scat Vocals
Kerry Livgren - Lead and Rhythm Guitars
Rich Williams - Lead and Rhythm Guitars
Phil Ehart - Drums
Dave Hope - Bass
You're welcome Mike, I saw them in 1976(before Leftoverture) opening for Bad Company and I like you was forever hooked. I already had heard them on the radio when I was on vacation at the beach, "Down The Road" and on the same day I heard REO's first album. That might be my best day ever for music discovery.

Ricky, thanks for posting. I saw Kansas in Charleston (S.C.) in March of 1975 when they opened up for Queen! It was the first time I ever saw Kansas and I was forever hooked! This song is from that time period. They were young and hungry!
If I'm not mistaken, they closed with "Mother Nature Suite" .

Kerry's first band in 1970 was called Kansas and included Dave Hope,Phil Ehart and 5 other guys. Kerry joined White Clover in early 1973. When they later changed their name to Kansas it was the third version of the band and of course the one we know and love!
