I HAD some respect for him for speaking frankly as a leader; to take the GOP where it needs to go to win elections. He's the RNC chair. Rush is a popular radio comedian & GOP profiteer, who cares about his pockets 1st & 2nd.

A GOP message of "I hope Obama fails (the country)" is Rev. Wright-esque (coming from a $400 million contract man, while so many are suffering from what most voters believe is due to bad GOP/Bush policies) and is suicidal for the party & Mike knows it. Rush doesn't care.
