The infamous "goal that never was". Roy Carroll drops a speculative effort from Pedro Mendes over the goalline, but the match officials miss it. The game ended 0-0. Not my cap (Except for the title and the slow-mo bit at the end).

@musefreak122 That's the most safe way to catch a ball, he just misjudged the trace of the ball, if he did 1 more step backwards he would have caught it without any problems.

Yet no footage of Mendes doing a "Roy Carroll" for Portsmouth against United when the ball crossed the line and he kicked it back out. Swings & roundabouts children.

@jenga111 Yeah that's true, so look at 0:37... if you can't see that "all the ball" has crossed the line then something is wrong with your head mate!
Ps people bagging the ref: it's actually more the linesman's fault than his.
Imagine if this had have happened to Sir alex, he would be swearing at and kicking the officials, but when it happens against him he'll happily praise them and give them gobbies!! So corrupt!!
