The Aral Sea has been shrinking since the 1960s. Now almost all of the sea has disappeared. It was once the Earth's fourth largest fresh water lake about the size of Ireland.

In the 1990s the sea split into two. It split into the North Aral Sea and the South Aral Sea. Then in the early 2000s the sea split again into the East Aral Sea and the West Aral Sea.

  • bad presentation - you should have left the scale the same so you can actually see it shrinking - it looks like it just changed shape over the years - not got smaller. There's no point of reference.

  • @antigen4 thank you for the feedback. i will look on this in the future :)

  • @antigen4 You can see perfectly the shrinking of the lake. You must wear glasses; you eyes are bad, not the presentation. Rockybrazil1
