Harry LaFleur is in Fiddler in the stripped shirt. He is one of the Founders of the "CFMA" Cajun French Music Association .. I have been to this jam session and I am a member of the "CFMA" . It's a wonderful organization. Many People in Louisiana are members as well as people all around the USA, Each Chapter has their own Goals , I'm Very Proud to be a member of the Cajun French Music Association .. You don't have to be french to be a member.. The Music , the People are what it's all about..

The fiddler next to Marc looks very much like Harry LaFleur - but it is 15 years since I last saw him in Eunice I think :-) Best regards Judy Ryslander, Denmark

The fellow singing and playing violin is Robert LeBlanc. He has a fantastic CD out with Al Berard, Mitch Reed, Lisa (Reed) Trahan. It is excellant !

I was able to contact the TV station, and found out the name of the artist on the VHS tape. Turns out it was not Marc Savoy! But Mark de Basile. At the time I made the Tape I didn't know much about Cajun music. When one of musicians (on tape) asks Marc to play a song, the only "cajun" Marc I knew-was Savoy!
Long story short- (about 18years) the band I have on tape is Harry LaFleur Not Marc Savoy!
Greetings from NC! I would like to know the names of the fiddlers-in this video!
Back in the 1990's....I went to school in VA and saw a VHS of a Cajun band. I am trying to track down the artists. I am pretty sure the accordionist (in VHS) was Marc, not sure about the others. It may have been the Savoy family. I lived in Mamou for a time, and fell in LOVE with Cajun culture. I am (sadly) not a Cajun (Big Sigh)! Any names?
Take Care
