At first the acorn thing was funny, then less funny, then slightly funny. And now it's just sad.

Scrat is constantly trying to reach his acorn, and if by some impossible chance he does, then he just ends up trying to store it for winter and in the process creates a giant crevasse in the ground (this time on a much larger scale, though) and ends up losing it again in the process. technically he's partially bringing it on himself, though i must say an extreme amount of bad luck always follows
