Some like myself practice at home to perfect our stricks and moves so they are fluent. @Pawnbroker00 May be the case that in reality they were professionally trained knights and fighters. This is not meant to be an activity that results in permanent incapacity to fight again. It is a battle to simulate the Battle of the Thirty so that we can fight and fight again. If you tried this form of combat you might be surprised how fun it is.

@MarissaPrettyEyes Fucking idiot. This isnt even close to combat of thirty, especially these retarded "rules" you speak of. Real soldiers during battle of thirty were strong and respected men not fatties and midget yankees

During the Combat of the Thirty, you try to capture, not kill, the enemy. To capture him, you must hit him a certain number of times in a row, I can't remember the exact details. Once you capture him, you escort him off the field. He must have some sort of ransom to pay you before he can go back into battle. Some of the ransoms at this Pennsic were amazing!
