  • @Darkiesmistress Could have won an oscar or at least best musical score.

  • AMAZING SYMBOLISM

The shield represents Viking tradition and culture

0:02 Hiccup is hiding behind it

0:12 He gets stuck: tradition is holding him back, yet he chooses to go under it

0:16 He can't take it with him; he's leaving behind everything he knows

0:19 He has to go forward without ANY protection in order to meet this fierce dragon.

This movie is about changing the world; going against cultural norms in order to find truth. And I must say, it's beautifully done :)

  • 5:28. The ultimate moment of pure, undiluted trust

  • I would wet myself at 1:16

  • @HerosMark777 Wow, I never thought of that before! Thank you! :D

  • This is easily my favorite animated film of 2010. My friends are all like "tangled was the better movie" Dont get me wrong tangled was a good film but with disney films a character says or asks something and the characters break into song. How to train your dragon proves that dialogue isnt needed to produce heartwarming and touching scenes in a film

  • @weeedster Ah, wow. Never thought of that but it makes sense. Thanks! :)

  • Was it just me who thought that the reason Toothless waits for Hiccup to swallow a mouthful of the fish (and just a mouthful, not the whole thing) is to confirm that Hiccup didn't poison the fish beforehand?

  • @123312ERDF it's to show the dragon is trying to understand. he doesn't know why hiccup is drawing lines in the sand, but he does it anyway because he thinks it's part of the human way. like hiccup taking a bite out of the fish earlier. it's disgusting to him but to toothless, sharing food is a sign of trust, so hiccup eats some of the fish to show appreciation.

  • @HerosMark777 symbolism ya gotta love it

  • It's sped up a little... just a little (not that I have a problem) LOVE this part though *.*

  • @BaltoMovie x'D you made my day
