  • Great Job, well done machine. I would be very interested in seeing what the machine looks like. I would like to know what size steppers you used, and what controller, and what bearings. The reason I watch these youtube videos is to learn how the other guy does it, and to get ideas for my own machine. Maybe I am alone here, and all the people watching just want to see it work.

  • Thanks!

You can see the machine including pictures and videos of the building process on my Electronics and Robotics site. There's a link in the video description (for some reason I can't post a link here...)

  • looks like you need to calibrate the steps per inch in x & y

  • Is that lost steps, machine flex, or leadscrew backlash? Have you tried EMC's backlash compensation?

  • Looks like you're losing some steps on the motors or something since the part looks different than the emc2 logo.

I tried using my dremel on my machine and it just couldnt handle any wood cutting or engraving. You should try some foam or balsa wood.

  • Wow that TV works great for viewing EMC great idea!
