Today was my fourteenth day in the hospital, May 6, 2010, or Day +7. My white blood cell count is still zero. I started my neupogen shot today to help my counts come up quicker. I also received a package from my friend Laine. She and I went to college together and she is also a cancer survivor herself. There was a little bit of everything in her package. It really was like Christmas when I opened it up because I just ripped everything to shreds to see what was in it!
I also got my central line dressing changed today. I thought I would show you what it looked like in my chest. It was a little dirty from some dried up blood, but that is normal.
My painting instructor came by today and I did a little more painting. My appetite is still ok and my nausea and vomiting comes and goes.
