the chord with bass note b is Bminor

b minor is played with the notes B D F#

I'm playing B D G

which is just a major G chord inversion.

So, I am not playing a b minor. Neither does Dave, although I think he plays his G major inversion differently than I do.

I'm guessing you've seen Dave play it differently and assumed it was a b minor, or you're looking at incorrect tabs/chords somewhere.

Either way, if you're playing a b minor, you're playing it incorrectly.

Thanks a bunch. Had to learn this song so thank you. I watched Dave play it from MSG on YouTube and didn't see him play play that chord all the way up on the 5th fret (7-x-5-7)
