@UkTruthSeeker2009 And yes, times will be hard because, A) The private sector needs to create more jobs which means doing things again and also means B) It needs to move from the short-termism that screwed the entire worlds economies

That means it needs to move from making a fast buck at the expense of the people who fall for their scams which is what far too many businesses are built on, & move to being summat that sells good, innovative products that sell on their own merit

@UkTruthSeeker2009 What I meant was the the STATE SHOULD only be there if you fall on bad times. & the help they give should be geared towards getting you out of whatever situation you're in so you don't need it.

Yes, times will be hard until the balance shifts from public to private sector led. Whilst that does invariably help the politicians, it also helps us because wealth goes down from the rich to the poor not the other way around which is what Socialists believe.

I`m SORRY I don`t Agree the only time they are there is when it benefits their own Pockets.

I don`t think it should be hard at all AFTER ALL it`s their doing they are the ones that supposed to be Leading our country and they are the ones who are taking from the people to get the country out of the mess

As Thatcher said, making the poor poorer as long as you make the rich poorer won't help.

The real problem is the economy has entirely wrong values and focus. Blair & Brown left the financial sector to provide for the state which they grew twice as fast as they shrank the private sector & added huge layers of bureaucrasy. Until the econmy shifts its balance, times will be hard

our country's being fleeced, "Scotland" gets 18 billion a year to run itself.

it paid 60 billion corporation tax, 2010#11

thats not counting paye tax. nat insurance, vat. etc etc...

if everyone is scotland pays £5 a day in tax x 5 million= 25 million a day one hundred and seventy five a week seven hundred million a month

then we have the council rents and tax's.they claim its to fund the services BUT that comes out the 18 bil that scotland gets to run itself. so where does our money REALLY GO!

@skeletorphd None of them care this Government or the ones before it,The only thing they care about is making us poorer and I doubt if those figures are right because its not only this years school leavers that have no jobs its the school leavers the year before that as well.My son is17 at college to be a fire man getting No help from anywhere & No part time jobs going either hes told theres a 3 year waiting list to be a fire man and his course finishes May.We have to give him £12 daily
