Non mainstream AFI=punk band. Mainstream AFI=generic mallcore crap.I forgive them though because their old stuff is awesome.Metallica,NOFX, AFI did decent covers of last caress but usually the originals are better than covers.Well for this song this is true. Oh and the AFI part cuts Danzig's amazing vocals so the timing isn't good, or maybe you just timed it so the AFI part cuts the amazing baritone to give AFI's version more support.Old AFI=not whiny vocals,new AFI=whiny vocals and fake screams

@mcilvaine90 Danzig didn't ask him, the band did though. Davey didn't take them up on the offer though, because he had AFI and he didn't feel right doing it without Danzig's permission. The members of AFI do it for the music, if you think otherwise you are absolutely retarded. I can assure you, the members of Misfits have made way more money than those of AFI. So yeah, I guess the Misfits' aren't really punk either.

Don't worry guys its just that these superficial misfits fans are blinded by nostalgia when listening to this song and, sorry to tell this to you people, but original is not always better in life ^_^. Also I don't think the misfits suck it's just that they never made anything new just the same shit that's probly why they broke up (I know they broke up because danzig quit) but AFI crossed boundaries into other genres of punk and no u can't say because they sold out they're just beast and awesome

Vocals go to Misfits

The quality of the instruments sound great when AFI is playing the song but honestly Danzig's vocals have that raw punk rock sound which the song was intended to have and Davey doesn't have that in his vocals. That's just my out look of course, it should not effect which version you like best.
