Award-winning local super-band The Parlotones share their thoughts on what makes South Africa unique and why they will always be proud of being from 'the most awesome country in the world'. We caught up with The Parlotones at the launch of outdoor advertising giant, ADreach, in Melrose Arch on the 5th of May 2011. Watch this exclusive interview with South Africa's most celebrated musicians.

From their origins in Johannesburg, South Africa, the 4-piece rock band has achieved multiplatinum-selling status locally. The Parlotones are regarded as South Africa's best known rock bandand have performed as part of the 2010 Official FIFA World Cup Kick Off Celebration concert among other performing artists including Black Eyed Peas, Alicia Keys and Shakira. The band are spokespersons for both Live Earth and Earth Hour along with Bishop Desmond Tutu, Prince Charles and Rihanna. Their single 'Ill be there' was nominated for 2 MTV Africa Awards and won 3 South African Video Awards and they were chosen as the Face of the HD launch in SA.
