Injuries and Illnesses: A Jonas Family Story~Chapter 31

MARATHON part 5

Nicks POV

Oh my God! I woke up this morning and came to the reality that it was actually Christmas Eve. I ran down the stairs into the living room where everyone was sitting watching TV together.
"Its Christmas Eve!" I screamed.
"Yup!" Kevin smiled, laughing lightly.
"Buddy, come here and watch TV with us. We're watching Christmas specials," Dad offered.
"Alright!" I agreed, sitting next to Joe and Kevin.

We spent an hour all together as a family before mom left to go to th store to pick up food for the Christmas party we throw every year. Dad also left to get last minute decorations for the house. Dani tried to explain to him that they would probably be most expensive on aChristmas Eve because of demand for them, but he ignored her and left. We were home with Kev again, but he began to cook what we had with Dani and Lexi. Joe ventured into the garage and began to play guitar and sing, but he was actually singing Christmas songs that he re-wrote to sound rock-and-roll. we all started laughing when we heard them.

Later that night, Joe had all his rock version Christmas songs recorded and burned onto a CD that we played through the house while the party was going on. Everyone we knew came to that party. Even the butcher we got the ham from was there. It was strange, but Regan came. I felt like I hadn't seem her in forever.

"Hey Nick!" she greeted.
"Hi," I blushed.
"How have you been. I haven't seen you in a while," she smiled.
"Same as usual,"
"Oh, so in the hospital?" she joked.
"Well..." I trailed.
"Oh! My por baby! Are you alright now?" she asked hugging me.
"Ow!" I winced as her body pressed up against my surgical area. "Yeah, I'm doing much better."
"Well tak it easy baby. I can't lose you. I love you too much."
"I love you too."

The party was a success. The turnout was like 90 or more people. When they all left we had alot of cleaning to do. Joe came up with the best excuse.

"Mom, I can't clean tonight because I have to sleep. I am a growing boy, and I need my 10 hours."
"Joseph, you don't need to wake up at eight in the morning," she responded. I proceeded to laugh. Stupid Joe.

After an hour or so of cleaning, we all went to bed. Wel, we were supposed to go to bed, but of course Joe didn't want to.
"Joe, I though you needed 10 hours!" I joked.
"That was before Mom made me clean," he sad angrily.
"Chill bro. Just get some sleep, and when you wake up there will be presents for you!"
"Fine."

Kevins POV

I was woken up by all the kids that morning asking if they could open up presents. They were crushed when I had to say no, and wait until mom and dad are up also.

"But Kev! Mom and Dad are going to sleep in just to torture us!" Nick complained.
"He's right Kev! That's why he's the smart one!" Lexi whined.
"Stop complaining to me and go wake mom and dad," I ordered.
"Fine! I'll go with Lexi! Joe and Dani stay here to make sure Kevin stays awake!" Nick decided.
"Will do!" Joe saluted.

Thos kids crack me up all the time. I love them so much. I rolled out of my bed and walked into my bathroom to get a quick shower to wake me up. I'm pretty sure Joe and Dani stayed in my room the entire time until Nick came back in.

By the time I walked downstairs the kids were already tearing up wrapping paper and opening gifts and looking in their stockings.

"Kevin! Look! A present for you!" Nick exclaimed, giving me a present that was under the tree. I opened it to find a note and a card signed by the entire family.

"Look outside..." the note read, so I did as it said. I looked out the front window to see a new, shiny red corvette in our driveway.

"Oh my goodness! Thank you so much!" I screamed, giving my entire family a hug.
"We put all our money together!" Joe explained.
"And came up with just enough to buy you that car!" Nick finished.
"You are the best family ever!" I exclaimed.
"I love what I got also!" Dani exclaimed, and all the kids nodded in agreement.

I soon found out that Dani and Joe both got a guitar, a microphone, a tambourine, sheet music to write their own songs, a notebook to write song lyrics, clothes to preform in, blank CDs, and music CDs of their favorite bands. Nick recieved toys to build with, toys to play with, a couple books, some candy, clothes, money, a CD or two, and a couple movies. Lexi was given money, cooking supplies, make-up, perfume, body wash, fancy soap, purses, and a book about something really girly.

We had a great Christmas. For once, no one was sick or even injured on Christmas! It was truly a Christmas miracle.

I was ill on christmas and it was HORRIBLE!! I slept all day and only got to open ym presents today!!! Great Chapter xx
