This is the classic house track: La Trece - I want to thank you (MK Mix 12") from 1993 ,ripped from the yellow vinyl 12" single. It's basically a House cover of Alicia Meyers' song by the same title. Out of the three mixes that come out on the single ,this is the one that stands out with MK's solid production work.

  • So many people around the world who were into House music - knows the truth. He should have become the Superstar DJ like Armand Van Helden became at one stage. Mark "mk" Kinchen is so respected in House and Garage music as a remixer that feel sad that so one so talented as him is now making other types of music.

"Push the feeling on" gave the world a taste of what we had known for years. MK is a very, very important legacy in House music. Todd Edwards has states that he's 1 of the major influenc

  • Yeah, I agree but unfortunately the music he's been making in the past couple of years has definitely stained his reputation in a lo of people's eyes.

He's still tha shit for some of his production work between 91 and 95 imo.

  • I'm glad that we have alot of people on here that do not get blighted by the NATIONAL music charts of their respective countries. It goes to show that peoples from all over the world realise that therE are talented people in music that never "chart" on a regulary basis. However their music is/ARE still sought after. Mark "Mk" Kinchen was a Dj/producer from 1991 to 1995 that falls in that catergory. And just goes to think he was competing against MAW, Kerri Chandler, Larry HEARD, Blaze ETC

  • cheers to all true house heads still out there!

  • @ClimaxBassmnT - Thanks for that Info - ClimaxBassmnT I stand corrected. Thanks for putting me right on that matter.

  • @redjam40 he wasn't a DJ at that point, just a producer. He has stated that himself on many interviews.

  • Err, I mean to say... Perhaps MK just belongs in the underground... And not in a bad way. He's more talented than any of those MAW, Todd Terry, any of that. He completely came out of left field and OWNED house. I'm glad he's back, if indeed he is, I hope he changes the movement from analog synth "deep" bullshit into something more.

  • Defected just released a "House Masters" comp of MK, there's a vid on YouTube promoting it too. MK seems to be back at least using his legacy... I do agree with others on how he kind of fell off. I looked up and listened to his Quest productions, or with Will Smith... I didn't feel like he was there. I know it's commercial music he was trying to make, but I still expected a feel of him. Also, I hate to say, but his commercial productions really didn't stack up to other commercial productions

  • Would you please uppload the MK Dub mix on this record if you have the time? I'd love to hear it.

  • Dj. Steve "Silk" Hurley out of Chicago also deserves an "Honorable" mention as far as "Classic House" Djs. of the 1990s are any concerned, see; Ce Ce Peniston Classics for further references.

  • ...and how could I have managed to forget MURK ...cannot forget the Murk Boys of the Miami Classic-House sounds of the 1990s.

  • @redjam40, MK, David Morales, MAW, Blaze,Todd the GOD Terry, Maurice Joshua, Basement Boys, Kerri Chandler, Larry Heard, Dj. Bruno (Biscuit Head Records- Boston) Armand Van Helden (whom I knew back in the day from when I lived in Boston 88-04) but I digress, were the Djs. of their day, True Djs. & Artists!

  • @JeddBarryDJ Yeah i kna man! no dress code is there man?
