We will train their police and army, help them get their government up and running, cut the violence down to almost nothing by getting control of southern Afghanistan, and then we will pull out almost all of our troops. After that the taliban, al qaueda, and other islamists, will come out of the mountains and back over the Pakistan border and start overwhelming and wearing down the new Afghan army because they are more hard and determined than they are by far. Just watch it's all for nothing.

@DonQuixotec dav3merc is wrong it wouldn't matter if we sent 120,000 troops and adopted Patons tactics because most of the fighters are in Pakistan and Pakistan wont let us in their country. Even if we decided to go in wether they like it or not our troops are stretched to thin all over the world, Pakistan has nukes along with 952,000 troops, plus we are bankrupt so it's not going to happen. Unfortunately the taliban, al qaeda, and other islamists there will live on and just wait until we leave.
