Lesley (a Roundhouse "Linda") is steamed and runs on the Aireside Railway 10 Oct 2009 with cab views of the line. She raises steam, runs light and takesa pick-up goods train on the line before ending the day in the shed.
This is a minature camera perhaps only 2 inches tall (hence the low definition on picture). It has a mounting frame with a "crocodile" clip and with a post screwed to the cab floor the camera can hang on to the side sheet (driver's head out). You get a good idea of the camera size as the loco enters the shed. If you see my Almonbury Railway (Pt 1), the camera was mounted on the tender side (not quite as successful) and Pt 2 on the buffer beam. All these pictures feed the imagination?
I'd agree, one seldom sees a proper drivers eye view. How did you afix the camera?
