Considering the General (Sherman) was an avid anti abolitionist (his letters to his brother in Congress PROVE that) and the fact that news reporters that were sent to report the progress made by Sherman's troops list witness to BURNING black churches, raping black women, and hanging black men for refusing to give the location of the plantation "wealth" stash, I don;t know how you can say that. yeah sorry to burst your Yankee bubbles, Sherman was a murderer, and a pillager and a racist. He murdered 52,000 civilians, HE SAID IT IN HIS QUOTES and his WIFE SENT HIM LETTER OF SUPPORT. It came straight out of his mouth! The after the CSA surrendered he was sent north to attack the Native Americans, there 1,000,000 people lost their lives due to northern federal greed. Just to build a stupid railroad they murdered southerners because they refused to pay taxes for it and natives.
