Linguist and author, Antonio Graceffo, in cooperation with David Long, head of the Thai program at AUA Ratchadamri, Bangkok, are working together to find a way to transport the ALG (Automatic Language Growth) learning method from the classroom to living rooms and offices around the world. Experiential learning is by far the most powerful and provides the most remembered lessons. This video is the first in a series of experiential language learning videos. The idea is to provide the students with an immediate context and cultural reference for the language they are hearing. Since about 70 to 80% of communication in your native tongue is non-linguistic, then why shouldnt we use the same non-linguistic clues to interpret and eventually learn a foreign language?

  • @brooklynmonk1 cool man how long do u take to master all these language? man u have a super brian no doubt, i can barely speak chinese even that ihv learnt it froms frens for 3 years haha, nothing but respect to you man the effort that u put in

  • cool, can they not video tape the ALG lessons from the classroom and sell a certain number of hours via DVD?

  • antonio, great method! i learned more from training and my thai in laws than all the method books on the market. real situation puts more pressure on you to have to understand!

  • For those of you who are indoctrinated in left brain learning only you will be confused--but left brain learing is stronger and mroe profound. This is really a combination of TPR and ALG. Also you are looking at it passively. The power of TPR is being active--you will learn without translation lags and faster than any, ANY leftg brain method.

Please support the ALG movement through donnations, right Antonio?

  • Great video

    can't wait to see more!!!
